New File
If an user has permission* and wants to distribute files stored on the Cloud4mobile server, they can upload a file by choosing the option “New File / Upload”.
The figure below shows the sequence of steps to access this option:

Once the new file is included, it will be listed as shown in the example below. There, the file is in version 2, that is, it has already had an update:

The “Update” button can be used to create a new version of the file. In those cases where the storage is in cloud4mobile, a file with the same name as the file contained in the repository must be selected.
* User account must have permission to use this functionality.
Important notes:
- The maximum number of files to be stored is limited, and will depend on the plan contracted by the user. This number is calculated from the number of existing versions, as each different version demands storage space.
- To use this functionality, the C4M Agent of the devices must have a version equal to or greater than 10.2.0.
- The total size of files stored on Cloud4mobile is also limited. The maximum storage capacity depends on the plan contracted by the user.
To check the storage information, point to the icon next to the file repository page title. The image below shows an example of this. There, in the first column, the number of files is shown, counted by the total number of versions, as well as the remaining amount available. The second column shows the use of storage space in MB (megabytes), how much has been used and how much is still free.
